Honoré Paris launched its fourth collection preview exclusively at the comfort of the Robinsons VIP lounge; and this could very much be its best one yet; judging from the enthusiastic turnout of media guests, bloggers and guests alike. Designer Axelle Oran looking lovely as usual (despite rushing off a plane), was there as well to share with us her thoughts on the collection and what she has been busy with since we last met.
With new styles, new fabrics and more than 50 pieces, Collection #4 is undoubtedly Honoré Paris’ largest Collection to date. Collection #4 consists of basic pieces with a slight rock and roll twist and French insouciance; but expect new materials and refreshing silhouettes to the equation.
For example; the incorporation of a linen and cotton blend on their previous collection's Georges Jacket, which gives it a slightly heavier and stronger texture feel that's perfect for it. I spied with my little eyes its signature shirt-dresses made fresh with Tunisian necklines; as well as printed raglan tops and some grunge-chic throwover tops.
Axelle explains; " Also, we have also decided to branch into the use of synthetic blends (Rayon and Cupro) because their textural qualities cannot be replicated using natural fibers. Rayon comes off as an ultra-light and breathable fabric even more so than cotton sometimes."

Furthermore, 10 never before seen styles have just been added. Justine (Axelle's favourite and arguably the iconic piece of the collection) is a fun take on the 1960s shift dress thats seen a modern, preppy update with a quirky heart print and collar.
Of course, how could I attend a Honoré Paris event wearing anything other than the brand itself! I've got this from their earlier collection, the Trait D'Union dress which features a drop waist, breathable chiffon material and a zig zag pattern that makes me happy just looking at it. Axelle (pictured next to me) is also wearing a floral piece from the new collection. Thanks for the dress!
