Sponsored review
After a nice long beach getaway, while I am happy for the much needed R&R, my face had taken a beating from the strong sun and exposure to salty seawater. Despite my best efforts, I've got a minor case of breakouts and skin is left looking dull. So it's just perfect timing when I was delighted to be extended 3 of Origins's best-selling masks, namely the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask and the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask.
To use, I first open pores with a warm, moisture towel, before layering on the mask.
The texture unlike other mud masks I've used; its soft and gel-like, which glides on smoothly when applied and does not have a patchy effect whi The good thing about the Origins Active Charcoal mask is that it is rather fast drying, and although the suction power is rather strong, it does so at a nice comfortable level.
For me personally, I applied 2 layers to get a moderately thick coverage. When washed off, it dissolves easily as it touches water; leaving skin feeling fresh. I observed after 3 weeks of use (twice, that I have lesser occurrence of blackheads especially on my nose, and skin looks clarified. I realized as well that pimples breakouts are reduced, which I deduced is thanks to the disciplined routine cleansing with the mask to prevent clogging.
After my face is deeply cleansed, I next use the Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask. It features Coffee Bean extracts has antioxidant and anti-flammatory properties that help to revitalize skin; and also contains Cucumber Hoelen Mushroom that helps to both refreshes and soothes skin to achieve that natural healthy glow.
I love the lightweight consistency which really locks in the moisture; this gel-based mask works great when you pop it in the fridge first before application. When applied, it becomes abit watery-like and which makes great for slathering onto areas and crevices of the face. Leave it on skin for about 10 minutes, before tissuing off. The mask smells fresh, most likely thanks to the Cucumber ingredient, and I actually believes it helps in depuffing my face, caused by water retention after a particular night out drinking with friends.
And if you are looking for a truly hydration-packed punch, as this serves to restore the moisture our skin loses during the day through perspiration, etc. One mustn't overlook this because as skin is highly dependent on water for healthy skin elasticity.
The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask contains the goodness of Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oil to deliver an immediate and highly-packed hydration punch which not only replenishes the hydration lost but also deeply but also stores for future use. Japanese Seaweed repairs skin's barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature aging.

Of the 3, this one has the most lovely scent of of sweet apricot. However, while it has a great buttery texture that made it easy to glide and apply , and I found it abit rich so just a small 20c dollop is enough for the whole face. I did like that it left my face feeling supple and a light dewy complexion. I would especially recommend this for people who have dry skin as I find it really locks in moisture. A definite must-bring for my winter trip to France in December!

always have a bias towards clarifying masks but not a fan of sleeping masks because they are quite sticky on my face :(
