A Magical Christmas Rhapsody at Orchard Central!

Media Trail

It’s a glorious Christmas here at Orchard Central; and I couldn't be happier to embark on yet another magical trail with one of my fave malls. One thing I'm happy about is how Orchard Central never discounts on building up some festive cheer; even though the scale of Orchard Road decors lining the streets dwindle each year.

Taking centre stage is the towering 8-metre tall Christmas tree located at the floor entrance of Orchard Central, which is quaintly surrounded by over 3,300 sq ft of festive structures and decorations.

I spied people wasting no time in photo-taking opportunities; so if you are a part of the action then remember to hashtag #OCChristmas15 on Instagram to share the love! You could be among the 3 lucky winners to walk away with $150 Far East Organization Vouchers!

Enthralled, I headed on in and was instantly taken by the life-sized carousel; with white laced-motif reindeers, huge candy canes and ballet dancers, all set against a whimsical and delightful festive backdrop. How precious is this?

Venturing down Discovery Walk (1st floor), I couldn’t resist checking out the goodies at the annual OC Christmas Market Place. This is a one-stop destination include an exciting booth line up by Miss Empire, TOKYU HANDS, TOTALLYHOTSTUFF, Myth & Legends, Table @ Pip’s Richard’s Atelier! With such a diverse array of fashion, beauty and novelty offerings, you’ll have no trouble getting that special gift for friends and family this Christmas!

Being the beauty addict that I was, I just HAD to make a beeline to Tokyu Hands (#B1-07). Seriously if you haven't already been here, you NEED to. Tokyu Hands stocks a colossal selection of premium beauty, health and lifestyle items. Some of my personal make up recommendations would be Vecua Honey (a quaint line of honey-infuse makeup and skincare products) and NaturaGlace, a poppish vibrant range of makeup.

If you are shopping for Christmas presents, I think this is the best place to begin: from every innovative culinary tools and utensils you can imagine for Mum, interesting health gadgets for Dad to kawaii stationary and bags for my sister who's in University: you'll be just as spoilt for choice as I was!

Having had a love for interior design, I was pleased to find that Fred Lives Here (#02-14) was my next stop. It is the culmination of all things quirky, innovative and all very unique. As its first exclusive flagship store, its open concept of goodies is every design- junkie's domestic dream.

Here are some of my exciting, top picks of the lot:

For the chess fan that I am, I love this huge, solid Rook candle…

Well, they did always say that the key to a wo(man)’s heart is through her stomach. I heartily agree!

If you have friends who are designers, tickle their funny bone with pantone coded baubles for gifts!

… or how about channeling your Jurassic side with these how about some tongue-in-cheek, quirky dinosaur desert platters?

According to their site, they promise to bring "quality reproductions of modern classic furniture and sells them as the already cool pieces that they are, or further modernizes them into something quite extraordinary". Most of their items stem from Italy, France, Thailand and the U.K; and its easy to pick up a statement piece or two given their specially sourced piece!

I actually came back and couldn’t decide whether to get my colleague the dainty teacup..or the POISON labelled mug. Don’t you just love Secret Santa giftings hehe…

Last but not least, was fashion multi-label store SooZip. As fate would have it, I actually bought 2 lovely bracelets from their earlier designer bazaar, and even met with the designer JiiMin herself! And being a K-fan of everything, this was the place I was looking forward the most.

Here, you’ll find some of the best that Korean designers have to offer: from quirky and quality stylish pieces for kids, one-of-a-kind statement accessories by JiiMin and YuJin, to everyday contemporary apparel that’s great for our humid, temperamental climate.

Why settle for just boring black when you can have your pick of eyewear from Color Spark? From wayfarers to cat-eye sunnies, you’ll never run out of options on which pair to match your OOTD.

I kept coming back to Latch Handmade, a range of contemporary leather bracelets which incorporate gorgeous semi-precious stones. Beautifully set, it also comes with descriptions of new-age properties to the stones like. How cool is this!

And beauty lovers won’t miss out; Freda' D perfumes not only smell like a dream but also contains no phthalates and are crafted meticulously with only the best organic, wild-crafted ingredients.

These intricately crafted accessories cases and ornaments from Pink Crown will add that much needed sparkle to your boudoir…

Happy feet is what your feet will be, with the vivid assortment of socks by the label Happy Toes. Stay toasty wit their comfortable and breathable choices!

Before I go, good things need to be shared!
