Be head 'Owl' heels with the Laneige x Lucky Chouette Collection!

Media Launch & Review

Gonna christen this review with some squealing, because this was the one makeup collection I have been waiting with bated anticipation. When it comes to Laneige meets Fashion collaborations, they always find the most perfect brands to complement their playful, vivid vibes...and this year's tieup with Lucky Chouette does not disappoint!

Too pretty, I cannot even!! Easily a must-collect piece for me, the Laneige x Lucky Chouette Whitening BB Cushion version features a girly pink packaging with myraid of bright Bella and Vely owl prints. For this collection, only the shades 13 & 13C Ivory (for fairer, pinkish cooler skintones) and 21 & 21C Beiges (for warmer skin tones). PLUS, no better time to pick up a Laneige BB cushion thanks to the new formulation which provides a higher level coverage and lasting power

Opening up reveals a lovely rose gold rim that just serves to add more hearts into my book.

Just FYI, this is how the Pore control version packaging looks like!
And if you tend to burn through your cushion puffs as fast as I do due to constant usage, be heartened that the collection also features 4 special puff prints! They are wayy to cute to be used...almost. Imma tap this on my face very gingerly to prolong the life!

Lippies make me happy! And it's back with a bigger and better formula than ever by featuring a new oil-serum formula that plumps up those puckers and lengthening the staying power. But not compromising on lip comfort, the Laneige Serum Tint contains Berry Mix Complex: a fruity hydrating blend of raspberry, strawberry. craneberry and Goji berry for nourishing Vitamin C and antioxidant boosts.

The 4 shades I've swatched here are just 4 of 10 great shades. Like its predecessor, it has a jelly-liquid lipstick consistency and gives a similar glossy finish. Each piece comes with the shades indicated on the top, with the collection's signature pink packaging with Vely & Bella print. The shades are quite pigmented but I felt the doe-foot applicator could be abit more fluffy to catch more product.

And here is how it looks like when applied on the lips:

#05 Sassy Girl: A medium red with light tangerine undertones. Less orange compared to Coral breath but ideal if you aren't feeling a full red lip
#07 Coral Breath: A warm coral-apricot shades that is great for warm skintones.
#09 Misty Rose: My pick! It's a sweet neutral pink that looks like it can suit both warm and cool skintones.
#10 Bite Me: A  burgundy wine shade that oozes vampy-ness.  Its abit more opaque in one layer, as compared to the others.

And we come to the Laneige Multi-colour palette; which you can use as a cheek colour, a highlighter for the face as well as eyeshadow colour. Opening it up, you'll find a blisfful looking Vely embossed beautifully in soft satin finish.

I did notice that trying to swatch the peachy orange and blue shade was a bit difficult, but the white
The blue and white shades veer more to the frosty side, so I tend to reserve this for my eyeduct and waterline. For most parts I prefer swirling my blush brush over everything to use as a general face powder.

I do like using this to dust it over my cheeks, forehand and nose bridge. The finish is natural and adds a peachy touch of colour to give my yellow-tone complexion a more healthy, ruddy and glowing color. You can still pile on abit of highlighter but the powder carries abit of satin shimmer, so you can skip it if you wish.

LANEIGE x Lucky Chouette Collection, pre-launching at the Takashimaya B1 Talking Hall from 25 to 31 Aug, and will be then available at LANEIGE boutiques and counters from 1 grab them before its sold out!
