Shop ZALORA x New Look: Coveted Executive Styles

Lately I've been abit of a fashion rut; all those impulse buying on fast-changing trends has got me stuck with a closetful of outfits that I just no longer see myself wearing. Now New Look has always been one of my go-to places for shopping, but with me being in the Early Childhood sector, this upcoming September school holidays are a peak period for my roadshows and leaving me no time.(sigh).

So I turn to the next best thing: which is to Shop New Look Online at Zalora!

The current thing that I just can't get enough of is the office lady look. But banish any thought of the conventional blazer + collarshirt / turtleneck combo; which looks rather banal and simply makes one become homogeneous with the regular office population. So here's some of my suggestions on how to add some character into dressing for work!

The classical office look is far too dated... this looks about being in the 90s!
I love this look in so many ways: this black crochet hem Kimono is so wearable for work or casual, top it over anything to give that insouciant chic vibe. Here I pair it down with this Tribal Print Bodycon Dress to tone down the loud patterns, before adding this Patent Strap Ankle Court Shoes in Oatmeal, a very dainty off-pink tone to add a dash of colour and variety to the look. Topping it off with just a hint of bling is this Pink Contrast Gemstone Flower Stud Earrings, which are in a similar pink shade as the heels.

I adore the combination of Gray and Blue, which leads me to my second look. There are a number of things that make this work. The intricate details of the Blue Raceback Crochet Vest makes it interesting enough that you don't need accessories for the neckline, and here I paired it with the Monochrome Circle Print Slim Leg Pants which adds a dimension of texture to the look. Keeping things simple, channel some Alexander Wang-esque grunge with this Black Leather Tassel Mini Duffle Bag and Black Knotted Peeptoe Heels.

If you loved the lookbook I've created, let me know! Possibilities are endless so long you open your mind in redefining what work-wear is, and who knows...you may conquer that all important b with killer fashion sense!

I don't know about you guys, but excuse me while I'm off to indulge in my little retail therapy. I mean, I have to look good for my boardroom meetings, no?
