Getting my Healthy on with Cuppatea Detox Tea!

Sponsored Review

I think I speak for a lot of working ladies when I say its hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you are juggling work and other commitments. My new job in an agency is hectic to say the least, and tight timelines has seen me binge eat when I can or not eat at all. This is not without health repercussions....AKA weight gain, gastric and acid reflux.

Thankfully, I am pleased to be try out Cuppatea’s 14-day Slimming Detox tea program. Cuppatea only picks 100% natural, no chemical or preservatives and bacteria-free ingredients to make its brew. Plus. I kinda like how it is packed in quirky and cheery ziplock bags to ensure that the tea bags are air tight and remains fresh.

Heres what’s inside it; a medley of natural herbs with varied benefits. Ginger and Lemongrass helps to purge toxins in the body and helps to burn fat, Lotus is great as a cooling ingredient to prevent heatiness, and Dandelion adds a refreshing flavour and a treatment against Eczema, a prevailing condition that I have. I also suffer from acid reflux in the mornings but after taking this I found that I no longer have nauseous relapses.

Ingredients: Mate leaves, Chinese oolong tea, Ginger root, Lotus leaves, Lemongrass, Ginseng root, Dandelion leaf, Gotu kola leaves, Nettle leaves.

I found this a light herbal concoction with a mild herby-floral fragrance, and its gentle enough for everyday consumption. It does not really have a laxative effect but contains a small amount of caffeine, so its perfect to start my day off without being to harsh on my weak stomach.
For me, the Night Time Detox was a lot more intensive than the morning version; I would brew me a cup just before I sleep. It has a more pronounced color and aroma compared to the daytime detox tea, and tastes abit smokier in flavor. I did like the Chamomile which gave it a lighter taste, and helped in relaxing nerves for better sleep.

The Bedtime Cleanse has a laxative effect to naturally cleanse and detoxify your body, approximately 8 hours after usage. This is perfect in helping boost your body’s natural purification process. However I caution against trying before food; I tried taking one on an empty stomach instead and it did not bode well as the diuretic effects were rather strong and immediate.

Ingredients list: Senna leaves, Burdock root, Liquorice root, Hawthorn leaves, Fenugreek seeds, Peppermint leaves, Chamomile, Psyllium seeds.

By half way through the detox I did really feel some some positive changes: food tasted much better without needing extra seasoning, I did feel lighter and my tummy is less bloated than before. Of course, don’t expect to take Cuppatea and still eat junk food because it is important for the detox tea to work holistically with a healthy diet.

So if you are looking into trying out the Teatox trend, why not give Cuppatea a shot?
